About the trend
The clip has a few names and a bit of history. These answers clear up the most common questions.
What does Outstanding mean here?
"Outstanding" is the name of the song in the viral clip, a 1982 funk single. Every video from this site plays the original sound. The Outstanding Tiny Desk AI guide explains how it is added.
Where does the Tiny Desk meme come from?
The meme comes from a 2023 desk concert clip that was remade with AI in October 2026. We do not name the people in the source clip. The Tiny Desk meme guide covers why it works and how to cast it.
Are the people in my video real?
The people in your video are AI-generated likenesses of your photos. No footage of the original performers is used.
Photos
Photo quality decides most of the likeness. Every photo is checked as soon as you upload it.
Which file types and sizes work?
JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC photos work, up to 10 MB each. Photos from an iPhone in HEIC format are converted automatically.
What counts as one subject?
One subject means one person, one character or one pet in the frame. Group photos fail the check, so crop out everyone else first.
Can I use a photo of a celebrity?
Photos of public figures are not allowed without their permission. Use photos of yourself, or of friends who agreed to appear. The Acceptable Use Policy lists the full rules.
What makes the face look most like the photo?
A sharp, front-facing photo with even light gives the closest likeness. The face should be large in the frame. Sunglasses, masks, heavy filters and strong shadows make it harder.
Is there a limit on uploads?
Each account can upload up to 60 photos per hour. A rejected photo never costs anything, so you can try another one right away.
Making the video
The scene, the cuts and the sound are fixed. You choose the photos, their order and the quality.
What does each photo slot do?
Photos fill the seats in order, up to 5. Photo 1 is the lead singer, photo 2 plays the sax, photo 3 plays the keyboard, and photos 4 and 5 are the backing singers. The template guide shows how the seats map to the shots.
Does every band member get the same screen time?
Screen time can vary. The lead singer always gets both close-ups, and a band member in the wide shots may appear in fewer frames than the others.
Can I change the shots or the length?
The shots and the length are fixed at 19 seconds, following the original clip. That keeps the cuts on the beat. The video is always vertical 9:16.
Can I close the page while it generates?
Closing the page does not stop the video. We email you when it is ready, and it also appears in My videos.
How many videos can I make at once?
An account can have up to 2 videos in progress at the same time. A third one can start as soon as one of them finishes.
Do I need an app or an editing template?
No app or template is needed, because everything runs in the browser. The how-to guide walks through each step.
Credits and payment
Videos are paid with credits from a one-time pack. Nothing renews.
What is a credit?
A credit pays for 5 seconds of video. A 480p video uses 1 credit per 5 seconds, 720p uses 2 and 1080p uses 5. One full video therefore costs 4, 8 or 20 credits.
Which pack should I buy?
The Starter pack ($10 for 5 credits) covers one 480p video. Larger packs cost less per credit, down to $1.33 or so with the Pro pack. Per video, that is $5.33 to $8 at 480p, $10.67 to $16 at 720p and $26.67 to $40 at 1080p.
Do credits expire?
Credits never expire. Unused credits stay in your balance for your next video.
How do I pay?
Payment runs on a secure Stripe checkout. When a video is waiting for credits, it starts right after the payment goes through.
What happens to my credits if a video fails?
The credits return to your balance automatically, and the video page shows that they were returned. There is no money refund for a failed video, because the credits come back instead.
Your videos and privacy
Photos and videos are private to your account by default.
Where do I find my videos?
Every video appears in My videos, where you can play and download it. It stays there for 30 days after it finishes.
Can I share a video with a link?
Each video has a private share link. Only people who have the link can watch it.
How long do you keep my photos?
Uploaded photos are deleted automatically after 14 days. They are used only to check the photo and to make your video.
Can I delete my data sooner?
Write to [email protected] from the email you signed in with, and we delete your account, photos and videos.
Account
An account keeps your credits and videos together.
How do I sign in?
Sign-in works with a Google account only. Your credits and videos are saved to that account.
Who do I contact for help?
Support answers at [email protected]. Include the email you signed in with and a link to the video if there is one.
